One particularly useful option for residents is the Klimaticket Steiermark, an annual public transportation pass valid throughout Styria.

The price was €514 in 2025, with discounts available for certain groups. Residents may also be eligible for a €100 subsidy, and some employers offer additional transportation support depending on the company.

There is also a free tram zone in central Graz. The area around Hauptplatz and Jakominiplatz can be used without a ticket on designated tram sections.
