How to Get to Devín Castle from Bratislava

If you are traveling from around Bratislava Castle, the route is relatively simple:

  1. Walk to the Most SNP bus stop, located underneath the highway junction near Bratislava Castle.
  2. Take bus number 29.
  3. Get off at the “Štrbská” stop.
  4. Walk for approximately 10 minutes to the castle.

The walking section includes a gentle uphill slope, but the castle is visible from a distance, so it is difficult to get lost.

The total journey takes around 20–30 minutes from central Bratislava. The fact that Devín Castle is so easy to reach by public transportation is one of its biggest advantages.

The toilets are located inside a building near the entrance, approximately at position ⑭ on the map above. There are signs around the ticket office, so it is a good idea to use the facilities before entering or early during your visit.
